Have you wanted to be a singer?

I have been a singer since I was 21, I'm now 39 so as you can see, I have been doin it for a while and love it. I prefer a live band situation compared to other stuff. It's quite a rush when you get on that stage and everyone there came to see you. How would you like to sign autographs for people, sing to someone when they are really down or sick and watch them smile and say thank you. I'll tell you what nothing beats that feeling of seeing someone just light up when you hit that high note and they feel the goosebumps on their arms. I have had vocal lessons from many teachers and all of them were very good at what they do. Yes, after all this time of singing I still practice my vocal lessons, having some kind of teaching does help you. You have to motivate yourself to do it, how about if you sang at your friends birthday, or delivered a package to your friends door and just busted into a song. Singing to me is not just getting paid, getting signed or making it big, it's about loving what you do and knowing that people love you for what you do, that is the
satisfaction that I get out of it. After all what are the chances of really making it big, slim, it boils down to how bad do you want it, and to what extent you are willing to go. You have to sacrifice alot in the music business to get what you want. Can you make it big? Absolutely, but not without practice and determination. Those of you out there who want to be singers I say go for it and enjoy it, its a gift and you should put it to good use, and not only that when you get on that stage you are in your little world and stress free. Are you a singer? Do you have a story? Also are there any people visiting this site that have back pain?
